HAMILTON (Mercer) — A police chief from Burlington County now facing DWI costs in Mercer County was lying down within the highway behind his pickup truck, keys and cell phone strewn close by — as seen in body digital camera footage from the April arrest.
The video exhibits what happened after police caught up with Bordentown Police Chief Brian Pesce, who was been charged with crashing his car and fleeing the scene earlier in the night.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “No one was driving.”
He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
