Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several businesses responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with several other companies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found near the varsity’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the school or anybody inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
