Florida man gets life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors – WFTV

TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met online, in response to officers.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two totally different occasions in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom records say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English trainer.

Some of the boys, in line with the DOJ, were lured with guarantees of cash and gifts. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was part of Undertaking Protected Childhood, which was an effort to seek out youngster sex abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.
