A woman visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials said Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news launch from the park.
The woman approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it got here close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Previous Faithful geyser, the park mentioned.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison dwell on the park, they usually have injured more people than every other animal, the park stated.
When the customer got here within 10 toes of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 ft within the air, the park stated.
The lady had puncture wounds and different injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other folks have been also near the animal when it gored the lady, the park mentioned. The release didn’t say if they have been injured.
The park warned folks to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and a minimum of 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous version of this text misstated the severity of the woman’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
