Russian spy aircraft violates Swedish air area

A Russian reconnaissance plane briefly violated Sweden’s airspace on Friday, Swedish defense officers stated on Saturday, because the Scandinavian country ponders a bid for NATO membership after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A Russian AN-30 propeller aircraft violated Swedish airspace on Friday evening,” the Swedish defense ministry said in a statement, including that its teams had adopted the incident and photographed it.
The ministry stated the plane was flying east of Bornholm, a Danish island within the Baltic, earlier than it headed toward Swedish territory.
“It's totally unacceptable to violate Swedish airspace,” public television SVT quoted Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist as saying.
“This motion is unprofessional and given the overall security state of affairs very inappropriate. Swedish sovereignty must at all times be respected.”
