Man arrested in connection with “college shooter” signs found in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "school shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Safety introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of costs. 

An elevated quantity of police officers have been placed at schools in the communities as a result of the indicators. Multiple faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Department of Safety mentioned, but they decided there is no credible risk presently.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The safety division released a photograph of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor costs including false report to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and criminal threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.
