Investigators consider Mtula Payton was one of many alleged gang members who opened hearth in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an residence complex, the Sacramento Police Department said in a press release Saturday night.

“Las Vegas Metro Police Department labored with our detectives for weeks in an effort to find Payton,” the assertion said.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, have been charged this month with murder in the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.
