EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 times the legal alcohol limit after no less than five individuals referred to as 911.
Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Main Road exit. They are saying the crash brought on a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, however the driver kept going.
Other callers say the driving force was all around the street and now missing a front tire.
They say he ultimately stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”
Employees told police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was attempting to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell a number of times. Officers say he examined .291 on a conveyable breath test.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is facing a number of fees.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball player, Don Mattingly.
