A woman visiting Yellowstone National Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officials stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old woman, who was visiting from Ohio, was not recognized in a news release from the park.
The girl approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it got here near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Outdated Trustworthy geyser, the park stated.

An estimated 2,300 to five,500 bison live at the park, and so they have injured extra individuals than any other animal, the park stated.
When the customer came inside 10 ft of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 ft in the air, the park mentioned.
The lady had puncture wounds and different accidents and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service said. Her condition was unknown Tuesday.
Two other people were also near the animal when it gored the lady, the park stated. The release didn’t say if they were injured.
The park warned folks to stay 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and a minimum of 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous version of this text misstated the severity of the lady’s accidents. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
